General Class Info ...

Try to come to class with close to an empty stomach. Schedule 2 to 3 hours without food between your last meal and your yoga practice. Light snacks like bananas or smoothies are okay an hour or so before practicing.

Please remove your shoes before entering the yoga studio.

Before the start of each class, add your name to the sign-in sheet near the door.

Let your teacher know about any injuries before class begins. This is the only way we can help you with appropriate modifications and adjustments.

Purchase your own yoga mat. The Yoga Experience keeps some loaner mats for students who have forgotten theirs or who are not yet attending classes on a regular basis. However, it is more hygienic if we all have our own mats. You can purchase one from us, from a local retailer, or from Internet retailers.

Practice soucha. Please come to class with your body and clothing clean. Refrain from using strong, scented deodorants, perfumes, and hairsprays before class—such products can be difficult for people with allergies.

Turn off cell phones and pagers before class begins.

Attend classes that are appropriate for your level of experience (please check our class descriptions for more information about class levels). If you bring a friend who is a beginner, please respect him/her by attending a Yoga Basics class.

If you need to leave class early, please do so before savasana.
