In the fall of 2009, Jennie was given a unique opportunity to teach yoga at a local high school where she had currently taught English. There is no doubt that this teaching experience changed her world. She could feel the impact on her students. As the semester went on, she realized that this was one of the most rewarding teaching experiences of her career. She knew it could not end there. So she approached her personal “yoga experience” in Flagstaff with a newfound rigor and passion. She has completed her immersion studies and teacher training with Anusara Yoga® Certified Darren Rhodes and Christina Sell in Tucson. She now spends her mornings teaching yoga to over 100 enrolled students at Flagstaff High School.

Around the time that Jennie fell in love with Flagstaff, she also discovered yoga. She was instantly intrigued by the welcoming sense of community and the philosophy of intrinsic goodness that Anusara Yoga® embodies. She worked to deepen her practice for several years and was continually amazed at what yoga endlessly offered on so many different levels. 
Jennie loves that yoga relieves stress, makes us feel good, and helps us push past our boundaries. But most of all, she loves that yoga asks us to be most truly who we are. Sharing this with her students and continuing to discover this with her students is such a gift.
