Patty Wiley: Kids’ Yoga Teacher  

Patty first connected to yoga in 2000, during her pregnancy with her first child. She began at this time to delve deeper into the study and practice of yoga, exploring many different traditions — beginning with basic Hatha yoga and extending into Ashtanga, Yin, Kundalini, Anusara, Sivananda, and Kripalu. In 2009, she completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts.

Patty decided to combine her love of yoga with her love of children, and began teaching kids’ yoga. She has taught at Bambini Montessori preschool, Flagstaff Junior Academy, and Summit Gymnastics. She has also taught yoga to kids and adults at the Flagstaff Athletic Club since 2009. In 2011, Patty completed the Radiant Child yoga teacher training. She continues to teach in Flagstaff, her home for the last 5 years. When Patty is off the mat, she takes her yoga into her life as she enjoys her other passions: gardening, hiking, creating raw foods, herbs, traveling, wild foraging, and playing with her family.
